SHE SAID YES! Chris + Markie’s Seaside Surprise

I frequently get asked about doing a surprise proposal on the beach, and I have to tell you—I absolutely love them! Getting to witness one of the most exciting moments of a person’s life is a total career highlight. Recently, I had the honor of being the Seaside surprise proposal photographer for Chris and Markie, and it was a plan executed to perfection.

The Incognito Setup

To keep things a complete secret, my husband and I headed out early to set up a beach chair location. We wanted to look like just another couple enjoying the shore so we could remain “incognito” when Chris and Markie arrived for their sunset beach walk. As they strolled past, we acted nonchalant while secretly capturing every step of their journey.

Timing the Magic

I’ll admit, I was a little nervous at first! They were enjoying their walk so much that we were starting to run out of daylight. However, they turned back just in time. Under the majestic colors of a Seaside sunset, Chris dropped to one knee, and the moment was absolutely breathtaking.

A Family Surprise

What Markie didn’t know was that the surprise didn’t end with the ring! Her family and friends were tucked away in a nearby beach house, watching the entire event take place from the balcony. The inclusion of her favorite people made this one of the best proposals any woman could ask for.
