Watercolor Photographer | The Davis Family Garden & Beach Session

Today it is my pleasure to introduce you to the Davis family! If you’ve followed my blog, you know how much I absolutely love rain storms. When many photographers shy away from the opportunity to photograph in less-than-ideal conditions, I thrive in it. As a Watercolor photographer, those moody post-storm skies are some of my absolute favorite conditions to work with.

Why I Love Photographing After a Rainstorm

The many benefits of photographing after a rainstorm are the amazing skies that you receive, an empty beach, and cooler weather — which is perfect for anyone that perspires. You get hot at the beach and the last thing you want to see in a photograph are sweat stains. Luckily, that wasn’t an issue for the Davis family!

An Easy, Joyful Family

The Davises were such an absolute joy to photograph. The men were looking dapper with coastal-inspired collared shirts and beach shorts. The ladies were absolutely stunning in flowing dresses that were perfect for this summer session. Coordinated (not perfectly matched) outfits in soft beachy tones always photograph beautifully against both the gardens and the Gulf.

Jaw-Dropping Skies Over Watercolor

Our skies were jaw-dropping and some of the best clouds we’ve had all year! Combining a lush Watercolor garden portion with the empty beach after the storm gave the Davis family a gallery with two completely different vibes — tropical-garden lush and moody-coastal dramatic — all in one beautiful session.

Why a Multi-Location Watercolor Session Works

Watercolor is one of my favorite 30A communities because of how many unique looks it offers in one tight area — tree-shaded garden paths, the wide central park, and immediate beach access just steps away. For families visiting from out of town, my 30A photography locations guide and visitor guide can help you plan your trip.

Hi, I'm Amanda Eubank — a premier Emerald Coast photographer specializing in family, senior, engagement, maternity & newborn portraits along Florida's most iconic coastline. For more than a decade, I've been capturing the natural beauty and easy magic of Destin, 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Rosemary Beach, Watersound, Seaside, Watercolor, and the surrounding sugar-white shoreline. Every gallery is tailored to reflect the people in front of the camera — warm, candid, and connection-driven — designed to feel less like a photo shoot and more like a memorable time with your favorite people. Whether you're planning a vacation session or marking a milestone, I'd love to create timeless, emotive images that feel like the trip itself. I'd love to hear from you.
