30A Beach Photographer | The Lim Family Post-Storm Session
YES YES YES — this is a real sky! As a 30A beach photographer, I get genuinely excited when thunderstorms roll in. Most photographers are irritated by them. Not me. Living in Florida, summer storms are a common occurrence you get accustomed to, and what most people don’t realize is that they clear out the beach and leave us with the most amazing clouds to photograph. The Lim family’s session is a perfect example of exactly what I’m talking about.
Why Post-Storm Skies Make Magic on 30A
When a thunderstorm rolls through 30A and clears, the beach empties out, the air softens, and the sky lights up with these towering, dramatic clouds that catch every bit of sunset color. Photographing in this light is one of the great gifts of working on the Emerald Coast — you simply can’t fake it.
The Lim Family in Beach Blue and White
The Lim family was today’s beneficiary of this wonderful weather, and it all made the images look jaw-dropping. I also need to say what an absolutely beautiful family they are. They looked gorgeous in beach blue and wonderful in white — a classic coastal palette that pops perfectly against our emerald gulf and the day’s layered cloudscape.
A Jaw-Dropping Session
From sweet candid laughter to picture-perfect group portraits, every frame from this session feels like a gift. The kids ran along the surf, mom and dad shared quiet moments, and the whole family just leaned into the joy of being together at the beach. Here is a small sample of our images from this awesome session — I hope you love them as much as I did taking them.
