Today, it is my pleasure to introduce you to the beautiful Richards family! As a Santa Rosa Beach family photographer, sessions like this one are exactly why I love what I do — gorgeous skies, the kindest people, and a surprise dip in the gulf to top it all off.

Meet the Richards Family (and a Little Texas Nostalgia)

If you follow my social media, you may know I moved around extensively as a youth, and one of my favorite places to live was in North Texas. In fact, that’s where I met my husband Steven and had my daughter Brianna. I like to call myself a Florexan — I live in Florida for my love of the beaches, but I’ll always love Texas for the endless supply of Tex-Mex and amazing shopping choices.

The Richards family hails from Texas, and we instantly clicked. They are the nicest people and made me miss the Lone Star State so much that I instantly became nostalgic. When the session ended, I immediately told my husband we need to start planning a trip because I needed some Texan retail therapy!

Jaw-Dropping Skies and a Surprise Gulf Dip

Speaking of great retail choices — the Richards family looked absolutely amazing in beach casual, and Mom looked regal in the perfect colored coral dress. It was like she color-coordinated with the endless skies and looked absolutely jaw dropping. These were definitely the best skies of the year, and the water was majestic to say the least. In fact, you could say it was inviting — so inviting that the whole family went in for a surprise dip, and I was there to capture every moment of this beach bliss.
