Santa Rosa Beach Newborn Photographer | Baby Beau’s Session

I officially have baby fever again! This morning I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable baby boy named Beau. As a Santa Rosa Beach newborn photographer, it’s such an honor when I get to follow a mama from her maternity session all the way through to meeting her sweet baby.

From Maternity Session to Newborn Session

Previously, I had the honor of photographing Beau’s momma for her maternity session, and I felt it was fitting to revisit the same location as our previous shoot. She looked absolutely beautiful then and even more amazing now as a new mother. There’s something so special about photographing a family in the same spot as their bump portraits – the gallery practically tells the story for you.

Beau — Snug as a Bug in a Rug

However, today was all about little Beau! He was a bundle of joy wrapped up snug as a bug in a rug, showcasing all ten of his perfect fingers and toes. Sleeping newborn portraits in soft wraps are my very favorite kind – tiny features, tiny snores, and that brand-new-baby calm that doesn’t last long.

Why a Morning Newborn Session on the Beach

We chose a morning shoot as it was the perfect time to have no traffic on the beach and cooler weather for baby Beau. Morning light is gentle and even, the beach is quiet, and the temperatures are friendlier for both a brand-new baby and a brand-new mama.
