My photographic journey began over 18 years ago, driven by my fascination with capturing life’s true narratives. While I was initially drawn to journalism, I soon realized my true calling was behind the camera, freezing milestones in time.

Currently, what captivates me the most is documenting life’s fluid chapters, from high school senior milestones to extended family vacations. In addition to the technical side of photography, I love sharing the breathtaking scenery of Florida’s Emerald Coast with my clients. How do I book a Miramar Beach, Florida session?

Booking your session is a simple, streamlined process. First, you’ll want to reach out via the Contact Form to check my availability for your travel dates. Once we have confirmed a date, I will send over a digital contract and an invoice for your session fee. After these items are completed, your date is officially secured on my calendar, and we can begin planning the specific location and styling for your shoot.

The session fee covers my time and talent during the shoot, along with a high-end editing process for every image in your final gallery. In addition to the actual photography, you will receive a styling guide to help your family look their best against the Emerald Coast backdrop. Please note that while the session fee is non-refundable, it is fully transferable should you need to reschedule due to weather or travel changes.

Ideally, beach sessions take place during “Golden Hour,” which occurs about an hour before sunset.. This timing ensures we have soft, flattering light and those iconic glowing skies. However, if you have very young children who may not stay up until sunset, we can also explore early morning sunrise sessions. Consequently, we can still achieve beautiful results while keeping the little ones happy and well-rested.

Absolutely! After booking, you will receive my Beach Style Guide, which includes hand-selected color schemes, direct shopping links, and tips on how to coordinate your family for the best results against a coastal backdrop.

I offer options for both Single Family Sessions and Extended Family Sessions. Whether it’s just your immediate household or a large multi-generational gathering, we can accommodate your group to capture your family’s legacy.

We keep a close eye on the Emerald Coast weather! If the forecast calls for rain during your scheduled time, we will work together to find a backup window or reschedule to ensure you get those beautiful beach portraits you’re looking for.

Following your session, you will receive a link to a private online gallery. This is the “Heirloom Reveal” where you can view your custom-curated collection, choose your digital archive, and order professional-grade wall art.

  • Miramar Beach Regional Access (Near Pompano Joe’s):

    This is the most popular spot for a reason. It offers expansive views, classic boardwalks, and a “lively” coastal atmosphere. It’s also ADA accessible and has full amenities like restrooms and plenty of parking, making it ideal for large families or groups with small children.

  • Scenic Gulf Drive Regional Access:

    A newer addition (built in 2022), this location features a beautiful coastal cottage-style pavilion and a large deck plaza. With 400 feet of beachfront, it’s a fantastic choice if you want clean architectural lines and a slightly more modern aesthetic for your photos.

  • Henderson Beach State Park (Just West of Miramar):

    If you are looking for natural dunes and sea oats, this is the premier spot. Unlike many residential beach areas, this park is protected, offering a more “untouched” look with rustic wooden walkovers and no buildings in the background—perfect for a peaceful, sunset silhouette.

Important Considerations

  • Private vs. Public: Many resorts in Miramar Beach (like Sandestin or Seascape) have private access. If you are staying at a gulf-front resort, we can often shoot right there for convenience.

  • Crowds: Public access points near restaurants like Pompano Joe’s can be busy. For a more secluded feel, we typically aim for “Golden Hour” (the hour before sunset) when the crowds thin out and the light is softest.

Note: If you are staying in a private community, please let me know! Some areas require specific vendor permits or guest verification for professional photography.

Absolutely! While our white sands are famous, the Emerald Coast offers diverse backdrops. I love shooting at the Watercolor Gardens, the mossy oaks of Eden Gardens State Park, or the stunning architecture of Rosemary Beach. We can even start in a garden setting and end with a sunset splash in the Gulf!
