Senior Photographer in Seaside | Grace + Taplin

BEAUTY AND THE BEACH! I absolutely loved this session and got absolutely giddy when I get to showcase amazing pictures like these! Meet Grace and Taplin — amazing dancers who have been doing ballet for many years. When they asked if they could incorporate it into their senior session I immediately got so excited and could not wait to photograph them.

Ballet, Beauty, and Two Gorgeous Locations

We planned two locations for this session that started in the beautiful Watercolor gardens and ended beachside. The lush green oaks, fountains, and crushed-shell paths gave us a romantic garden backdrop for outfit changes, and then we made our way to the sand for the part of the session I had been counting down to — ballet on the beach.

Senior Portraits in the Watercolor Gardens

Watercolor is one of my very favorite places to start a session. Grace and Taplin worked through several outfits — flowy floral dresses, dusty rose ruffles, casual stripes and denim — and the gardens framed every single look. Ballet on the 30A Beach at Sunrise

And then there’s the ballet. Pointe shoes in the sand, lavender tutus catching the dawn breeze, arabesques against a painted pink-and-purple sky — it was honestly a dream to photograph. Both girls are such professionals to work with, and watching them move was art in itself.
