Grayton Beach Florida family photographer captures family of five walking on beach at vibrant sunset

Looking for a Grayton Beach photographer for your family on 30A? I’m Amanda Eubank, and I’m the 30A photographer behind Amanda Eubank Photography. For more than a decade I’ve photographed families, seniors, maternity moms, newborns, and couples along the dune-lined boardwalks, the live-oak-shaded streets, and the sugar-white sand of Grayton Beach. First-time visitor or annual Grayton regular — I’d love to create heirloom images of the people you love most.

This guide covers everything you need to plan a beautiful Grayton Beach session — from the best beach accesses to what to wear, sunrise vs. sunset, and the questions clients ask most. If you’d rather skip ahead and just chat, tell me a little about your session here and I’ll be in touch within 24 hours.

Your 30A Beach Photographer in Grayton Beach

Grayton Beach is its own unique pocket of 30A. As the oldest beach town on the Emerald Coast, Grayton holds onto a barefoot, bohemian charm you won’t find anywhere else — windswept oaks bending over sandy side streets, weathered cottages painted in salty pastels, and the rare coastal dune lakes inside Grayton Beach State Park. As a local 30A photographer, I know which boardwalks line up best with the Gulf horizon at golden hour, which oak-shaded streets glow at sunrise, and which dune trails stay quiet on a busy summer evening.

Why Choose a Local Grayton Beach Photographer?

Choosing a local photographer means you’re not paying me to figure out logistics on the fly. Instead, your session flows: we move from one beautiful spot to the next, the kids stay engaged, and we wrap up before anyone melts down. As a result, you get the kind of session families remember for years.

Grayton Beach Photographer — Best Locations

Here are the spots I love most along this stretch of 30A:

  • Grayton Beach State Park: rare coastal dune lakes, towering sea oats, and a wild, untouched shoreline — perfect for families and adventurous seniors.
  • The historic downtown streets: live-oak canopies, colorful murals, and weathered cottages with old-Florida character. Stunning for editorial senior portraits.
  • Western Lake shoreline: calm reflections, quiet boardwalks, and uncrowded backdrops with a true 30A feel.
  • The Hotz Avenue beach access: classic Grayton dune walkovers leading to sugar-white sand and emerald water.
  • The open beach at sunset: wide-open dunes, sea oats catching the last light, and that signature Grayton glow on the horizon line.

Not sure which fits your group? Tell me your vision and I’ll match you to the right spot.

Grayton Beach Family Photographer Sessions

As a 30A family photographer, my goal is simple: capture your family the way you actually are. The way your toddler tucks her face into your neck. The way your dad makes your kids belly-laugh. The way your husband looks at you when he thinks no one is watching. Dune-side moments, sand-castle smiles, big extended-family reunions — that’s what Grayton Beach is for.

Moreover, most of my Grayton Beach family sessions last about an hour. First, we start with the full group. Then, we break out into smaller groupings (parents alone, siblings, individuals). Finally, we finish with playful, in-the-water moments. As a result, you’ll receive a beautiful mix of posed portraits and candid storytelling images.

Grayton Beach Senior Photographer — 30A Senior Portraits

As a 30A senior photographer, I love creating senior portraits that feel like the senior — not a Pinterest board. Bring two or three outfits, and we’ll move between the open beach, the live-oak-lined streets, the dunes of Grayton Beach State Park, and the boardwalks for variety. In addition, senior sessions run 60–90 minutes and include both posed and walk-and-laugh candid frames.

Want a friend in a few shots? Bring her. Want your retriever in there too? Even better.

Grayton Beach Maternity & Newborn Photographer

Maternity portraits at Grayton Beach feel timeless. First, I light you so your bump glows against the soft Gulf horizon. Then, we frame you between the windswept oaks and the open dunes. Overall, we keep everything relaxed, comfortable, and flattering. As a result, I recommend booking your Grayton Beach maternity photographer session between 30 and 36 weeks for the most flexibility — far enough along to show beautifully, comfortable enough to walk the boardwalks.

For newborns, I photograph in a lifestyle style at your rental or home around 7–21 days new. Soft window light, your real space, and a baby who’s mostly sleepy — that’s the recipe.

Grayton Beach Couples & Engagement Sessions

Whether you’re planning a 30A proposal, celebrating an anniversary, or just want pictures that aren’t selfies, a Grayton Beach couples session is unforgettable. The best light is the 30 minutes around sunset, with twilight portraits as a beautiful bonus after the sun drops.

Sunrise vs. Sunset at Grayton Beach

Sunrise sessions at Grayton Beach are quiet, cool, and almost crowd-free — perfect for families with little ones who go to bed early. By contrast, sunset sessions are warmer, dreamier, and easier to schedule around a vacation day at the pool. Both produce gorgeous images. If you have a sleep-resistant toddler, choose sunrise. However, if you have a teenager, choose sunset.

What to Wear for Your Grayton Beach Session

For families, I recommend a coordinated — not matching — palette in soft neutrals and one or two pops of color: cream, sand, dusty blue, and blush all photograph beautifully against the weathered cottages and emerald water of Grayton Beach. Avoid bright logos and large prints. Bare feet always.

For seniors, bring two or three outfits, from casual to a flowy dress. For maternity, fitted bump-hugging gowns photograph best. Once you book, I send every client a full styling guide with examples.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually on the beach with my own family. Learn more about me here, or see why families come back year after year on my 30A guide.
