Family, senior, maternity & couples portraits on Florida’s 30A · by Amanda Eubank

Welcome to Santa Rosa Beach — Your Beach Photographer on 30A
Hi, I’m Amanda, and I’m the Santa Rosa Beach photographer behind Amanda Eubank Photography. For more than a decade, I’ve photographed families, seniors, maternity moms, newborns, and couples along the sugar-white shoreline of Santa Rosa Beach and the rest of 30A. Whether you’re renting a beach house for the week or you live in Santa Rosa Beach full time, I’d love to create heirloom images of the people you love most.
This guide has everything you need to know about booking a Santa Rosa Beach session with me — the best beach accesses, what to wear, sunrise versus sunset, the locations I love, and answers to the questions clients ask most. If you’d rather skip ahead and just chat, tell me a bit about your session here and I’ll be in touch within 24 hours.
Why Choose a Local Santa Rosa Beach Photographer
Santa Rosa Beach is the heart of 30A — and it’s bigger than most visitors realize. From the rare coastal dune lakes to the cypress-shaded trails of Point Washington State Forest to the quiet beach accesses tucked between Dune Allen and Blue Mountain Beach, every corner of this community has its own light and personality. As a Santa Rosa Beach family photographer, I know exactly which beach walkovers stay open at golden hour, which sections of sand are quieter on a busy summer evening, and which forest trails and dune lakes catch the prettiest light.
Choosing a local photographer means you’re not paying for me to figure it out on the fly. Instead, you get a session that flows: we move from one beautiful spot to the next, the kids stay engaged, and we wrap up before anyone melts down. That’s the difference between a stressful beach photo experience and the kind families remember for years.

Santa Rosa Beach Photographer — Best Locations
Here are the spots I love most as a Santa Rosa Beach photographer, and what each one is best for:
- Ed Walline & Gulf Place beach access: classic sugar-white sand, soft dunes, and that iconic emerald horizon. Perfect for larger family sessions and easy walkability.
- Dune Allen Beach: quieter beach accesses with beautiful coastal scrub and softer crowds — gorgeous for intimate family and couples sessions.
- Blue Mountain Beach overlook: the tallest dunes on 30A, dramatic light, and panoramic views that feel cinematic.
- Western Lake & the coastal dune lakes: rare ecosystems where freshwater meets the Gulf — beautiful for paddleboard portraits, engagements, and couples.
- Point Washington State Forest: moss-draped trails, pine canopy, and a completely different look from straight beach images — perfect for seniors and woodland-inspired sessions.
- Eden Gardens State Park: historic oaks, manicured gardens, and a Southern charm that pairs beautifully with a beach session.
Not sure which fits your family? Tell me your vision and I’ll match you to the right spot.
Santa Rosa Beach Family Photographer Sessions
As a Santa Rosa Beach family photographer, my goal is simple: capture your family the way you actually are. The way your toddler tucks her chin into your neck. The way your dad makes your kids belly-laugh. The way your husband looks at you when he thinks no one’s watching.
Most of my Santa Rosa Beach family sessions last about an hour. We start with the full group, break out into smaller groupings (parents alone, siblings, individuals), and finish with playful, in-the-water moments. You’ll get a beautiful mix of posed portraits and candid storytelling images.
Santa Rosa Beach Senior Photographer — 30A Senior Portraits
As a Santa Rosa Beach senior photographer, I love creating senior portraits that feel like the senior — not a Pinterest board. Bring two or three outfits, and we’ll mix the beach with dune lakes, coastal forest, and a soft-light overlook for variety.
Senior sessions usually run 60–90 minutes and include both posed and walk-and-laugh candid frames. Want a friend in a few shots? Bring her. Want your retriever in there too? Even better.
Santa Rosa Beach Maternity & Newborn Photographer
Maternity portraits at Santa Rosa Beach feel timeless. I light you so your bump glows against the soft Gulf horizon, and we keep everything relaxed, comfortable, and flattering. I recommend booking your Santa Rosa Beach maternity photographer session between 30 and 36 weeks for the most flexibility.
For newborns, I photograph in a lifestyle style at your rental or home around 7–21 days new. Soft window light, your real space, and a baby who’s mostly sleepy — that’s the recipe.
Santa Rosa Beach Couples & Engagement Sessions
Whether you’re planning a 30A proposal, celebrating an anniversary, or just want pictures that aren’t selfies, a Santa Rosa Beach couples session is unforgettable. The best light is the 30 minutes around sunset, with twilight portraits as a beautiful bonus.

Sunrise vs. Sunset in Santa Rosa Beach
Sunrise sessions are quiet, cool, and crowd-free — perfect for families with little ones who go to bed early. Sunset sessions are warmer, dreamier, and easier to schedule around a vacation day at the pool. Both produce gorgeous images. If you have a sleep-resistant toddler, choose sunrise. If you have a teenager, choose sunset.
What to Wear for Your Santa Rosa Beach Session
For families, I recommend a coordinated — not matching — palette in soft neutrals and one or two pops of color: cream, sand, dusty blue, and blush all photograph beautifully on Santa Rosa Beach. Avoid bright logos and large prints. Bare feet always.
For seniors, bring two or three outfits, from casual to a flowy dress. For maternity, fitted bump-hugging gowns photograph best. I send every client a full styling guide once you book.
