Hey there, it’s me, Amanda! As a 30A family photographer, I get to spend my evenings on some of the most beautiful stretches of sugar-white sand in the world — and this Inlet Beach sunset session with the Nettune family is one I’ll always remember. This sweet family of four traveled all the way from Texas for a vacation on 30A, and I had the joy of capturing their evening on the shoreline as the sky melted into pastel.
An Inlet Beach Vacation Family Session
The Nettunes — mom, dad, and their two little girls — coordinated their outfits in the softest light blue and peach palette that felt made for the Gulf. The girls wore the sweetest peach dresses (with the tiniest pink bow tucked into the youngest one’s hair), and the whole color story blended right into the sunset hues behind them. Inlet Beach has this magical, quieter feel along the east end of 30A, and it was the perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening of barefoot family portraits.
Sweet Sisters & Sandy Toes
The two daughters were carefree from the very first frame — running in and out of the surf, twirling in their dresses, hugging each other, and giggling at all my silly jokes. I love when sisters are this close, because the candid moments practically photograph themselves. We got little side-by-side portraits at the water’s edge, sweet sisterly embraces in the sand, and a few quiet shots of the youngest gazing out at the Gulf like she was taking it all in.
Mom, Dad & the Sweetest Connection
While the girls played, I made sure to grab plenty of just-mom-and-dad moments too. There’s something so beautiful about watching parents soak in their kids at the beach — the salty breeze, the slow walks hand-in-hand, the kisses on the top of little heads. Mom and dad stood together in the soft sunset light for a few intimate portraits, and the love between them was so easy to see.
Dad’s Specialty: Tossing & Tickling
If you’ve ever been on one of my family sessions, you know I love when dad gets in on the fun. The Nettune dad did NOT disappoint — he tossed the youngest into the air, tickled the girls until they couldn’t stop laughing, and even lifted one of the daughters up high while the rest of the family looked on. These are the photos that make a gallery feel alive.
Golden Hour on 30A
As the sun started to dip, the sky exploded into oranges, pinks, and purples — the kind of pastel sunset you only get along the Emerald Coast. We finished out the session with the whole family gathered close at golden hour, a sweet family-of-four portrait at the shoreline, and a final group hug with the sun glowing behind them. I also pulled a few of my favorites into black-and-white, including a stunning frame of mom kissing her daughter’s cheek that I just couldn’t stop staring at.
Memories They’ll Cherish Forever
These photos are going to be such a beautiful reminder of their fun-filled 30A vacation and the love they share as a family. The Nettunes were an absolute joy from start to finish, and I cannot wait to photograph them again next year.
