Engagement sessions are about love, romance, and the chemistry between an engaged couple eagerly awaiting their wedding. It’s only natural that with love comes PDA. That’s right, folks — public displays of affection.

What I Actually Mean by PDA

Don’t worry — I don’t mean I’m going to have you completely all over each other during your session. Those aren’t pictures grandma wants to hang on her fridge! During your session, I will ask you to hold hands, hug, cuddle, and even kiss. Maybe even a few where you’re doing all of those at the same time. Who doesn’t love a good “Dirty Dancing” photo?

Why a Little PDA Makes the Best Engagement Photos

As a 30A engagement photographer, I’ve seen it again and again: the moments where couples lean in and let themselves connect are always the ones we end up loving the most. A forehead touch, a quiet laugh, a slow dance on the sand — those small expressions of affection are what turn a posed portrait into a real memory.
