Santa Rosa Beach Photographer | The Prieto Family’s Wildflower Session

Today, it is my pleasure to introduce you to the Prieto family! I absolutely love this family and have had the honor of watching them grow through both pregnancies and on to the beautiful young children you see today. As a Santa Rosa Beach photographer, getting to photograph this crew again was such a joy.

The Joy of Repeat Clients

One of the many perks of my job is to have repeat clients, and the Prietos are by far one of my favorites. There is something so special about watching a family grow through the lens — the pregnancies, the newborn days, and now these sweet little kiddos. They are always up for different sceneries, so I was ecstatic when I got their inquiry.

Trading Sand for Wildflowers

I normally do beach family portraits, but today we decided to take advantage of the beautiful wildflowers growing in Santa Rosa Beach. The beautiful yellow flowers accompanied by amazing trees in the background provided the perfect backdrop. I also loved the light that was shining through the trees that felt like it was just for them.

Why a Wildflower Session Works So Beautifully

If you’re a returning client or just looking for a fresh, non-beach feel, a wildflower session is such a beautiful change of pace. The golden tones, the textured greenery, and the warm filtered light through the trees give the gallery a soft, almost fairytale quality — very different from the bright coastal feel of a beach session but every bit as gorgeous.
