Two large groups in a row – I love it! If you follow my blog you’ve read how I welcome large families. As a 30A photographer, my philosophy is the more the merrier, and the Simmons family was the absolute best example.

Today, not only did I get a large group but they did an absolutely amazing job of coordinating outfits! Coordinated (not matchy) tones make a huge difference in extended-family beach galleries, and the Simmons crew nailed it across every generation.

Calm Emerald Waves After the Storm

A couple of days ago a storm rolled through our area, but it had cleared and the emerald green waves were finally calm again. I was so pleased! We were blessed with beautiful majestic skies that were the perfect backdrop for the wonderful Simmons family.

This session was a celebration on every level – we mixed extended family portraits with a sweet twin first-birthday cake smash on the sand and a joyful pregnancy announcement.
