Seaside Beach Photographer | Fuller Family at Watercolor Gardens & the Beach
Today it is my pleasure to introduce you to the amazing Fuller family. As a Seaside Beach photographer on Florida’s 30A, one of the very best things about photographing here for so many years is knowing exactly where to take families when the weather does not cooperate. The Fullers showed up the day after a storm rolled through, and we still walked away with a gallery I am genuinely proud of.
Starting in the Watercolor Gardens
Because the wind was kicking and the Gulf was choppy, we kicked off the session in the beautiful Watercolor Gardens — a lush, tree-canopied spot just off 30A that delivers magic in any weather. The men of the Fuller family looked bliss in beach casual wear, while the ladies were stunning in flowing tropical dresses. We worked our way past the canal, the garden bridge, and a sun-dappled trellis path for a mix of full-family, sibling, and romantic couple shots.
Transitioning to the Beach at Seaside
Once we wrapped in the gardens, we headed over to the sand for the part every family looks forward to most. By that point, the wind had calmed and the sky had filled with cotton candy goodness — soft pinks and peaches stretching over the Gulf in every direction. The Fuller family looked perfect against the dunes, and we caught everything from barefoot sibling laughter to a sweet parent kiss at the shoreline. If you are deciding where to shoot, you can browse more of my favorite locations on the Destin & 30A photography locations page.
Why a Two-Location Session Is My Favorite Backup Plan
Florida weather has a mind of its own — but a two-location session combining the gardens and the beach is one of my favorite ways to keep things flexible. You get the lush, intimate feel of the gardens and the iconic 30A sunset beach shots in one evening, which is exactly what the Fullers ended up with. It is also a great option for larger groups who want a little variety in their family album.
