Destin Senior Photographer | Miss M’s Sunset Session
Senior year deserves more than a quick photo in the front yard. Miss M met me out on the sand for golden hour, and she absolutely owned it. As a Destin senior photographer, sessions like this one are my favorite part of the whole year.
Golden Hour On The Emerald Coast
We started while the light was still high and warm. Miss M brought two outfits and a whole lot of confidence. The Gulf glowed behind her as the sun dropped lower. Then the sand turned soft gold. Destin and Sandestin give seniors a backdrop that no studio can match.
Every senior session I photograph looks a little different. Some want soft and classic. Others want windblown hair and bare feet in the water. Miss M wanted both, so that is exactly what we made.
What To Wear For Senior Beach Portraits
This is the question I get most often as a Sandestin senior photographer. First, bring two or three looks that feel like you. Flowy dresses photograph beautifully in the breeze. In general, solid colors and soft neutrals work best against the white sand. Skip busy patterns and heavy logos. Finally, pack a comfy pair of sandals, and plan on going barefoot for part of the session.
Timing Your Senior Session
I schedule senior sessions about an hour before sunset. That last stretch of light is warm, flattering, and easy on the eyes. Because summer evenings on the coast fill up quickly, early booking really helps. As a Destin senior photographer, I also watch the tides and the crowds when I choose our exact spot.
