Today’s gorgeous family comes all the way from the Show-Me State — meet the Hayden family from Missouri. As a Watercolor Beach photographer on Florida’s 30A, I get to work with traveling families from all over the country, and the Haydens were an absolute joy from start to finish. We had smiles for miles, endless flowing clouds over the Gulf, and a sunset that felt almost painted on.

A Missouri Family Falls in Love with 30A

I have two daughters and a little boy who steals my heart, so when I met the Hayden family — two girls and a sweet little brother — I instantly related to them. There is something so special about photographing families in this in-between season of life, when the kids are little enough to still want to be wrapped up in mom and dad, but big enough to play in the waves on their own. It is exactly why these 30A family photos are so meaningful years down the road.

The whole family wore coordinated coastal casual outfits in soft, neutral tones that perfectly captured the beach-bliss vibe of the evening. Salt Life, Sandy Toes, and Zero Forced Family Fun

The best part of the entire session? There was zero forced family fun. The Hayden kids ended (or maybe started) our time together by jumping in the water and giggling with their toes in the sand. They embraced the salt life completely, and those candid moments are always my favorites — real laughs, real connection, and the kind of memories you frame for the wall.
