We kicked off Miss Sophia’s senior session with one of the most vibrant backdrops 30A has to offer — the Watercolor Garden. Nestled beneath a canopy of moss-draped oaks and bursting with seasonal blooms, it’s the perfect place to start telling the story of a senior year full of joy, confidence, and natural beauty. As a Watercolor and Watersound Beach Club senior photographer, this combo location is one of my absolute favorites on all of 30A — and Sophia’s session was magic from start to finish.

Effortless Style for a Timeless Look

Sophia brought three stunning outfits that perfectly complemented each setting.

Garden Chic

She started in a textured cobalt blue ruffle-sleeve top paired with crisp white high-waisted pants and clean white Veja sneakers. This classic combo gave off a fresh, polished vibe while allowing her to move freely through the garden paths, framed by bright orange marigolds, red zinnias, and deep green foliage.

Playful & Polished

Her second look featured a flirty blue tiered medallion-print sundress with flutter sleeves. Paired with simple ivory block heels, the dress felt whimsical yet polished — perfect for twirling across the tiny wooden bridge that stretches over the reflective pond in the Watercolor garden.

Golden Hour Glam

As the sun began to dip below the dunes at Watersound Beach Club, Sophia changed into a vibrant coral-pink and red tropical-print puff sleeve maxi dress with a tie waist. The bold print popped beautifully against the glowing sky, sand dunes, and weathered boardwalk. Her tan ankle-strap heels added a hint of glam, and when we moved to the shoreline, she went barefoot — embracing the laid-back 30A vibe as the sky exploded in pastel purples and fiery oranges.

Watercolor Garden Magic

The garden was alive with color and texture, from the pops of hot pink impatiens to delicate purple salvia and marigold bursts along the stone pathways. The late afternoon sun filtered through the oaks, casting the dreamiest golden glow as Sophia laughed, twirled, and glided effortlessly through each pose. After the garden, we made our way to Watersound Beach Club — where the natural dunes, winding boardwalks, coastal dune lake sandbar, and protected beach areas gave us room to breathe and soak in the final moments of sunlight. The colors of the sky shifted by the minute, painting the clouds in purple, lavender, peach, and magenta. Sophia absolutely glowed — every click of the shutter felt like a celebration of her final high school chapter.
