Destin Beach Photographer | Shannon + Sailor + Presley

I absolutely love this family! When I was asked if I would photograph them, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. I know them personally — Shannon is one of my closest friends — and I still got nervous taking their photos. You always want to provide your best work, but sometimes mother nature has different plans.

The Day the Weather Cooperated

A storm had been raging out in the Gulf and the wind was stronger than normal, but we were determined to get this session completed. We had already rescheduled a couple of times but decided today was the day! As you can see, our persistence and rescheduling paid off — we were blessed with gorgeous skies and a beautifully colored ocean.

Mom + Daughters on the Destin Beach

Shannon’s girls, Sailor and Presley, made every frame easy. There’s something so special about photographing a mom with her daughters — the silly moments, the cuddles, the way they look at each other. We laughed our way down the shoreline and back, and the post-storm light made everything glow.

Photographing close friends always carries a little extra weight, but it also means I know the joy and the personalities that make these images real. Thank you for trusting me, Shannon — it meant the world.
