On this amazing day, I had the pleasure of photographing the Thao Te family — and it was awesome! As a Dune Allen Beach photographer, every now and then the people, the weather, and the gulf all show up together, and this session was one of those evenings.

They were so nice and complete naturals in front of the camera. Some families settle in the moment they step onto the sand — easy laughs, real connection, no posing fatigue — and the Thao Tes brought that energy from the very first frame.

Amazing Skies, Low Surf & Emerald Water

We were blessed with amazing skies, low surf, and the emerald green water that we’re famous for. Low surf is one of those underrated gifts on the Emerald Coast — it makes the gulf look glassy, the sound stays gentle, and kids can play right at the water’s edge without anyone worrying about waves.

The whole family was dressed beautifully in beach bliss attire and coordinated perfectly. A shared coastal palette with varied textures is the sweet spot for family beach sessions — it looks intentional without being matchy, and every person still gets to feel like themselves.
