Sweet baby Elijah Cole — what a cute little hunk! He was an absolute dream during his session: slept like a champ, snuggled in beautifully, and made everything so easy. As a Destin newborn photographer, those are the sessions I daydream about.

And his big sister Ellie? She was just as in love with this baby boy as her momma and daddy are. Watching her gently kiss him and peek over to check on him melted me. Newborns are hands-down my absolute favorite to photograph, and this little guy reminded me so much of when my own little man was tiny — it made me miss those squishy newborn days even more.

A Calm, Cozy Newborn Session

Elijah’s session was a true sleepy dream. We worked through soft posed portraits, a few classic wraps, and some simple natural setups that let his sweet features shine. When babies settle in like Elijah did, we have time to slow down and capture all the tiny details — the curled fingers, the perfect little feet, those soft sleeping cheeks.

Big Sister Ellie Steals the Show

One of my favorite parts of any newborn session is including the older sibling, and Ellie was such a proud big sister. Her gentle kisses and snuggles with Elijah were some of the most heartfelt frames of the day — the kind of images this family will treasure forever.

When to Book Your Newborn Session

The sweet spot for posed newborn sessions is typically the first 5 to 14 days of life, when babies are still extra sleepy and snuggly. I recommend reaching out during the second trimester so we can hold a tentative window on the calendar around your due date.
