The Benners Family: A Sunset 30A Family Beach Session

There’s nothing quite like a sunset family session along 30A — and the Benners’ beach photos were everything I love about being a 30A family photographer. Cotton candy skies, emerald waters, and a family full of joy made for one of those sessions I’ll always remember.

A Photographer’s Favorite Kind of Day

The love for my profession comes alive on days like this — when the photos truly speak to my clients and bring big smiles to their faces. Capturing the Benners family was one of those moments.

Pink Skies and Emerald Green Waters

We had flowing clouds of pink and purple cotton candy paired with the emerald green waters of the Gulf — the dreamiest backdrop for a beach family session.

This kind of light along 30A is exactly why families travel here year after year, and I love getting to share it through their portraits.

Perfectly Coordinated (Without Being Matchy-Matchy)

The girls were absolutely adorable in their sweet dresses with smiles for miles. Dad looked cool in coastal attire while mom stunned in a beach-bliss dress.

They did a fantastic job coordinating outfits — unique pieces that worked beautifully together without being too “matchy-matchy.” It’s one of my favorite styling tips for family portraits on the beach.

Toes in the Sand and Fun in the Water

We wrapped up the session with toes in the sand and a few playful water photos that everyone enjoyed. This beach backdrop is exactly why so many families come to 30A every year, and I’m thrilled the Benners got to enjoy every minute of it.
